Bishop Frank M. Reid, III
Bishop Frank M. Reid, III is an internationally known servant leader, innovative thinker, and preeminent power speaker. Born in Chicago, IL, to the late Bishop Frank M. Reid, Jr, and Adrenis Carter Reid, he was the first-born son of four children. Three daughters were born to this union, Adrenise (deceased), Vanessa, and Stephanie.
Bishop Reid is a fifth-generation African Methodist Episcopal (AME) minister whose father (1972-89) and grandfather (1940-62) served the African Methodist Episcopal Church as Bishops.

Raised in a family that treasured distinguished educational achievement and excellence, Bishop Reid was surrounded by books and nurtured by parents who read to him daily and continually reminded him that all "readers become leaders."
Educationally equipped in the public school system in St. Louis, MO, Bishop Reid graduated from Central H.S. He attended the Rockefeller Foundation's Yale Transitional Year Program and graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts, received his Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, and earned his Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary as a distinguished Samuel DeWitt Proctor Fellow.
Bishop Reid preached his first sermon in 1971 while his father was Pastor of the historic Metropolitan AME Church in Washington, DC. His first ministerial experience was as a missionary pastor at Eliza Turner AME Church in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa.
During the 1970’s and 1980’s, Bishop Reid was appointed to his first pastorate at Greater Bethel AME Church in Charlotte, NC (1978-80). From 1980-88, he served as the servant leader of Ward AME Church in Los Angeles, CA. He was appointed to the historic pulpit of Bethel AME Church in Baltimore, MD, where he served as Senior Pastor from October 1988 until 2016.
During the 1990s, the "Outreach of Love" TV Ministry reached millions through BET, The Armed Services and The Word Networks. Bethel and Dr. Reid played an important role in the HBO series "The Wire." As an author, Bishop Reid has written two bestselling books, "The Nehemiah Plan" and "Restoring the House of God," and co-authored "When Black Men Stand Up for God: Reflections on the Million Man March" with Dr. Jeremiah Wright.
His greatest legacy is his faith and family. Bishop Reid is married to Supervisor Marlaà Reid, and they are the proud parents of three children: Shane, FranShon Reid-Barnes, Faith, and proud grandparents to Harleaux Marie Reid-Barnes.
In his restructured life (retirement), Bishop Reid focuses on teaching future generations to glorify God in faith, family, fitness, and finance through The Recover All Ministries. The “Recover All” vision for ministry is for a spiritual and strategic global ministry focused on prayer, rebuilding broken communities and nations.
